Step 1 Pick a site!
  • Needs to work best for you

  • Readable and easy to navigate

  • Easy to use

  • Insert images, text, headings, etc.

  • FREE

  • Claim your space online

Step 2: Highlight your experiences
  • Share your experiences

  • Volunteer work

  • Work with kids!

  • Make space to highlight field experience

  • Student teaching

  • Ask the supervisor and mentor teachers if you can take pictures and put them on your website.

Step 3: Show real work with pictures
  • Show samples that you created

  • Student work

  • Best lessons and unit plans for employers to see

  • Have a whole tab for your unit! You are able to demonstrate your understanding of scope and sequence.

  • Digital content that you created (graphics, websites, etc.) show it!

  • Your brain is designed to process images quickly! Use images to showcase content.

  • Get permission first to take pictures and use them!

  • Get pictures with kids! (With permission!)

Quick tips:
  • Link all the things!

  • If you are talking about a lesson plan link to it or embed it

  • Show interest, personality, hobbies, volunteer work, etc.

  • Social media share what you are learning
