The first year away from home can be a challenge. You're away from your family and friends, and you'll be meeting new people. But it's also a chance to start something fresh! Everything is exciting and with newfound freedom, things can get complicated quickly. We have a lot to cover, but I promise you will be surprised at the number of easy, tangible tips to help you thrive during your freshman year and beyond.  

 

Learning outcomes:

  • Campus resources are the best. They're all just waiting for you to come and take advantage of them. You can get help from advisors, tutors, and so much more!

  •  Study strategies are a great way to make sure that you're learning as efficiently as possible. I break down the best study strategies that save you time.

  •  It's important to have a social life, but you need to also prioritize academics. It's important to have a structured schedule with both academics and social life. This way you won't feel under too much stress.

  • This is your chance to make a difference. The connections you'll make on campus will last a lifetime. Get involved and get started today!

  • The next four years have been laid out before you! So go out there and make the most of it. Friends, You have the opportunity to make a difference in the next four years. Your voice matters and you should take that responsibility seriously.
